Where Do I Sign a Rhode Island Title?

Sign on the back of the title in the upper left corner where it is marked "Signature(s) of Seller(s)".

Print your name where it says “Hand Printed Name(s) of Seller(s).”

Can I Sell a Car in Rhode Island Without a Title?

Rhode Island does not require titles on vehicles year 2000 and older. However, you will need to complete a Bill of Sale and have identification. Titles are required on all vehicles year 2001 and newer. If your title is lost, a duplicate title can be obtained from the DMV.
